One month without posts???
Look at this big girl!!

Really? One whole month went by without a post about your life?? I'm so sorry - it has been really busy with Daddy working 12 hr days, taking a 4 hour class twice a week, and then softball on top of that. I will be better, I promise. So what have you been up to the past month?
Let's see, not much... Just chillin in your crib

Fun 4th of July - we went to the festivities uptown, then to lunch with Nana, Grandaddy, and Uncle Jay at Apollo Flame then to see Uncle Jay's new place, then a stop at Toys-R-Us (Daddy wouldn't let me go ahead and buy your Christmas present), then to Uncle Matt and Aunt Heather's for a cookout. After all the excitement that day we were all worn out and didn't make it to the big fireworks but we had plenty in our neighborhood to keep us entertained.

Four month checkup - you were 13 lbs. 7 oz. and 26.5" long (that is 45th percentile for weight and 97% for height - Daddy thinks you are going to be a volleyball player). You did so good while we waited forever for Dr. Wells and you did great with your shots. You did not like the oral vaccine and screamed for a little while but you have every right to after someone attacks you with a needle and then expects you to be calm.

You went wedding dress/bridesmaid dress shopping for Aunt Stacey's wedding and then to her engagement party. You did so good and everyone said you are such a calm and happy baby. Well, except when Stacey tried to hold you. And you looked really cute too! This is what Mommy's dress looks like for Stacey's wedding. You seemed quite impressed when I tried it on. I can't wait to take you to Daytona and play on the beach with you!!

You went to your first baby shower for Smitty and Kim and their little girl Chole who will be here in September. Your mommy and daddy have been friends with Smitty since preschool so we know that you and Chole will be good friends too.
You had your first solids this month! People must think you are cute like a grizzly bear and want to feed you because (without Mommy's approval) you had your first taste of watermelon, lollypops, and meatballs. I decided to start feeding you because apparently if I don't then other people will. You didn't think much of the rice cereal so I think we may wait a little while longer before trying it again.

We didn't go many places or do many exciting things this month because Daddy was gone so much. Even though Daddy is gone a lot we really love him and miss him and wish he could be home more. We are also so thankful that he works so hard to give us food and clothes and toys.
I asked him to play with you while I vacuumed because you HATE the sound of the vacuum cleaner and this is what I found when I went to check on you!
Oh yeah, this is pretty cool too:
You are such a happy, wonderful, and easy baby! We love you more than words can say!!
