What I'm Loving Wednesday
1 - 5 month old babies. Especially my 5 month old baby.
2 - This lovely cold spell we have been having. Although I am beyond thankful for the unusually warm weather we have enjoyed so far this winter/spring I am glad to have a few more days of jackets, fuzzy blankets, snuggling, and warm comfort food.
3 - Blue Sky MD. My weight was totally out of control and I was spiraling towards metabolic syndrome-land. Since Reid's birth I have put myself last and been taking horrible care of myself. Since I started this program 5 weeks ago I have lost 22 lbs and my body fat has gone down 5%. I love having something just for myself that forces me to take care of my body, which in turn gives me the energy to take take of the rest of me and my family. I haven't felt this good, both literally and self-esteem wise, in a very long time..
4 - Anemia. I know, what a weird thing to love. But part of the Blue Sky program is a complete blood panel and I found out through that I have anemia. The reason I love it is because there is actually a definable, medical reason why I had felt completely exhausted with no energy for the past 5 months. I felt like I was walking through water everyday just trying to get the basic tasks of my life done. I had no energy to keep my house clean, be the awesome mom that I wanted to be, or the wife my husband deserves. But since I have been taking care of the anemia and my body as a whole, my energy has increased 1000%. I even made Roman shades for my bedroom from fabric I bought 6 months ago. And I don't even sew :)

5 - Gnomeo and Juliet. I love this movie more than any adult should. I just really appreciate it when I find a movie that is clean, funny, and tells a good story for children while subtly throwing in tons of actually funny adult humor. It also has tons of Elton John in it. I love some Elton John. This has become our go to movie when we watch one and although I've seen it probably 20 times now I don't get tired of it. I also like the way Averie says Gnomeo and Juliet - it sounds like Nemeoh and Julios. Precious!
