Averie's Nursery
So I just started following kellys korner and I wanted to participate in Show Us Where You Live Fridays. Averie's room is my favorite room in our house and I spend a lot of time in there. So here goes!
View from the hallway when you walk in. Her crib is Carter's and we got it at Wal-mart. Her bedding is Raspberry Medallion by Wendy Bellisimo at Babies-R-Us. I got her cute curtains at Pottery Barn on super clearance way before I got pregnant (I'm always one to think ahead!)
View from door looking to the left. We got her toy hammock at Babies-R-Us.

This shows her changing table and rocking chair. My mom got me the blanket over the back of the rocking chair because it is pink Curious George! George is my favorite and I have tons of other toys and collectibles that will go in her room as she gets older. She found it at Marshalls which is weird because that is where I found her Curious George tea set a couple weeks ago. I need to check there more often for George stuff. The cross has I Corinthians 13:4-13. This is the verse that we used for our wedding.

The nightstand in the corner has her baby monitor, a couple pictures frames (without pictures, I need to do that), a cute little box with a bootie on top and a plate we got from Cracker Barrel about little girls.

Her bookcase which is slowly getting full. I try to pick up a book or two every time we go shopping for her. The last one I got is called Grumpy Gracie and I found it at the Burke Outlet for $2. It is so cute, I read it to her yesterday and she smiled the whole way through it. Another George toy on top, and the basket is what her bedding set came in and holds all her toys.

I got her letters off eBay and we found those frames at Wal-Mart. They are actually supposed to go around a digital picture frame but they were $0.75 and I just glued some card stock around the pictures and hung them on the wall with a nail.

I made the hanging pictures frames using ribbon I got off eBay and mats we found at Wal-Mart on clearance for like $1 each. I just hot glued the mats to the ribbon and nailed to the wall. The picture board I got at Main St. Limited on super clearance and it has her ultrasound pictures in it.

Her wall words say "Some people dream of angels, I hold one in my arms".

And now my favorite part: her closet! Her room doesn't have a closet so we use the one in the guest room. It has all her 0-6 month clothes. 6-9 and 9-12 are in the bags in the bottom of the closet, along with her extra diapers and wipes. Her 12 month and bigger clothes are in the closet in my parents guest room at their house. If I don't stop we are going to have to build on just to hold her clothes!! These are all her size 0-2 month shoes. I just ordered 4 more pairs so that she has some to match every outfit. Seriously, this is ridiculous but I want my baby girl to be in style!! Her closet also has an extra bedding set, green and white polka dots that we may possibly use if we have another baby and if it is a boy. Our other diaper bags are up there too. I'm using my Pink Pinwheel Vera Bradley right now but I also have a blue backpack bag from Pottery Barn and the really cute NC State one we got at the Mountaintop Shower. That is Eli's man bag for it he should ever have to take her out without me. However, he totally rocks the pink one too :)

Her palace is soooo beautiful! Love it! She has sooo many clothes... I think more than my two girls put together....haha! It's fun to have girls! Just wait :) thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty palace for your sweet angel! I love the angel saying on the wall!
ReplyDeleteAdorable room. I love the round letters. It is such a shame that this poor girl has nothing in her closet!!!
