House Bound & Stir Crazy

So this week Averie and I have been confined to the house because Eli's car is in the shop. We got the call yesterday that it was going to be $900 to fix it. Oh boy! It seems like when you think you've gotten caught up there seem to be other plans. So we will suck it up, fix what's wrong, and pray that it makes it another couple of years. For some reason I've been really productive this week, I think knowing I have no other options makes it easier to get stuff done. I finally cleaned up the office/guest/junk room and organized our closets. I really need to put Averie's newborn clothes up but I'm just really having a hard time with that. I'll get around to it.

We had a great weekend - Eli was off and we decided to go on a day trip on Saturday. We debated between Weaverville, Lake Lure, and the outlets in Gaffney and decided to go on to Gaffney. I felt like we were packing for a week because this was the longest and farthest we have been gone with baby girl. She did great and slept the whole way down, then just sat and smiled at us while we ate lunch, and then slept in her stroller almost the whole time we were shopping. I think I have a serious shopping addiction when it comes to her. I couldn't care less if I ever get a new outfit but when it comes to her I'm hooked. I know it is compulsive but I have to make sure she matches, and she has shoes to match, and if she needs an undershirt it has to match, and she needs to have a hair accessory to match, and her bottle needs to match her outfit, ok just kidding on the last one (although sometimes it bothers me in pictures). Why did God have to give me a little girl? Didn't He know I would wind up bankrupting us?? I have a deal with Eli that I can't buy anything for a month. If I break it I have to take his boots off when he gets home and I HATE doing that. We'll see how long I can last. I already have her 4th of July outfit, complete with shoes, so I should be good until all the summer sales start in August. Here are some pictures of us at our shopping trip and the last couple of days:
